Short Biography
I was born on October 19, 1977 in Gentofte north of Copenhagen. I have lived in the area ever since; for the past nine years with Louise with whom I got married on May 19, 2007. On November 19, 2006 we had a lovely baby girl, named Sophia Katharina.
I am a student of Business Administration and Philosophy at Copenhagen Business School, but not for much longer - I only need to finish my thesis before I get my M.Sc. - probably one of the only places in the world where a degree in philosophy counts as a degree in science rather than in arts.
During my years as bachelor and graduate student, I worked, alongside my studies, as an OCR-processor for a dyslexic student. More specificially, I was responsible for scanning, recognizing and editing academic texts, so that the student could have his computer read them out to him aloud. In 2006 I worked as a consultant preparing background papers and political manifestos for the SAFU labor union. In 2007, besides passing my last course in Hermeneutical Phenomenology and writing my thesis, I have had a few jobs as a temp, most notably in TDC doing technical translations from Danish into English, order management, systems support and various other administrative tasks.,
Among my major interests are the Scottish author and advocate James Boswell (1740-1795) - about whom I have made an extensive website; genealogy - which I have also published a thing or two about online; and Lyngby Boldklub (FC), which I have been supporting for 12 years, and for whose fan club I am the current webmaster.
I am a bit of a bibliophile - I have liste some of my book collections on the excellent LibraryThing website. Among my favourite works of fiction are Decline and Fall by Evelyn Waugh, Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome, The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco and The Woodlanders by Thomas Hardy.
My taste in music can best be described as mixed; among my favourite genres, however, are classical (Dvorak, Wagner, Bach), Gothic (Within Temptation), Rock (Muse, Queen, Toto), Instrumental (Mike Oldfield, Jean-Michel Jarre) and Musicals (virtually anything). I have a general dislike towards Country music and most R&B.
I was politically active some years ago in a nominally liberal party; however, when my party won the election, and immediately discounted all of their former ideas and values, I decided to quit party politics then and there. I still retain my values, but have no plans to re-enter the world of politics.
