Yesterday the last matches in the fall season were played in Division 1. Lyngby won 1-0 away against Herfølge, and stays at the top spot of the division for the duration of the winter break.
For once, I didn't attend the match, as Louise is scheduled to give birth to a beautiful baby shortly. Instead we spent the afternoon in the company of Louise's sister, and her family.
At about 1800 I took the short trip to the club, to celebrate the great season together with the other vikings, who had just returned from Herfølge. The atmosphere was great, and the party well attended. At 2100 the players arrived, and Christian Holst won the award for best player as well as the award for hottest player of the season (awarded by Female Vikings).
The spring season commences on March 30, so there's plenty of time for the baby this winter. And then it should be big enough to experience it's first live football game when the whistle blows again in March.
More importantly: Louise is fine, but is becoming somewhat impatient. Quite understandable, as she has become a bit immobile, as the baby has grown. The mid-wife estimated the childs weigth as about 3500g, a week and a half ago, so we are probably looking at a birth weigth of 4000g or more!
I'll keep you posted on this site - but probably not until a few days after the baby has arrived.
