A very special week

2006-11-25

This last week has been very special. The cause of this is of course the birth of Sophia last sunday

Mother and father are tired - very tired - but in a good way :-) The little one is happy and quiet most of the time, although she has had a few fits of intensive heart-breaking crying these last two days, probably due to problems with her digestion. This is all very normal, but unfortunately also very unpleasant. I have just borrowed a book about baby massage which may be able to help a bit.

Yesterday we returned to the hospital for the standard hearing test and blood sample. Her hearing was perfect - the result of the blood sample will arrive in a few weeks. I had persuaded Louise to go to the annual christmas party at her work for a few hours yesterday evening, and so I had Sophia all to myself for a few hours. It wasn't as quite and nice as I had hoped (due to the problems with digestion I mentioned before), but I did very well, and we did have some nice quality together. I even changed my first nappy ever.

Last tuesday Sophia sat with us in the couch as we watched Celtic been Manchester United 1-0, so - we have a new mascot :-)

All in all a great week; but we're tired - very tired!
