And so that was the month of July

2007-07-30

The past two weeks have brougth a bit of everything: Funen, family visits, football, Tour de France scandals, and a news job

In brief, we had a good trip to Funen. We drove to Odense tuesday last, where we lunched with Louise's cousin Rune's pregnant girlfriend Lara. We saw the old tanning yard of the Frandzen family (today renovated and used for housing) in the old town and we visited the beautiful and surprisingly interesting H.C. Andersen museum.

At 6 o'clock in the evening, we drove the 9km south to Fangel Kro, where we had a delicious dinner and stayed over until Wednesday. Wednesday was also spent in Odense before, in the afternoon, we drove homewards, via Kerteminde where we had a cup of coffee at the harbour.

The following wek consisted of relaxation, Tour de Francen-watching (until the ridiculous ejection of Michael Rasmussen from the race), and a bit of Superliga-football. On Wednesday, Juli 25, I started in my new job at TDC IT as a translator and administrative IT person.

Yesterday Lyngby BK won their first Superliga match since 2001 - and I bore witness to it, together with hundreds of other happy vikings on Farum's, actually quite cozy, stadium.

I have also found a bit of time to work on genealogy, updating Blue Vikings home page, for which I am the Webmaster, and, of course, also some quality time with the family.

The immediate future will probably bring a lot of work - and then we'll just have to wait and see what else happens.
