Warming Up to Christmas!

2006-12-13

It is now more than a week since we got home from our second stay at the hospital, and all is well in the small family

Sophia's respiration rate is still very fast, but other than that she is very well. She is much above average, both when it comes to weigth and length compared to her age. Today she weighed 5200g, which is more than enough for a 3 weeks and 2 days old baby :-) We are going back to Gentofte for a check-up on Friday, but we don't expect anything new to emerge.

Apart from that, we are beginning to warm up for christmas eve, which we're a hosting for the first time, this year. It'll be the three of us and Louise's mother + her new husband, her father, her father's mother and my mother. Louise has spent part of these last two days decorating the apartment, and all it needs now is a christmas tree. We have also bought most of the presents we are going to give, so that's nice.

I can also tell you, that last week, Celtic View (weekly magazine of Celtic FC) printed a photo of Sophia, age 1d, wearing a Celtic bib. Actually, we did except them to print it, as it was really to cute not to :-)

Other than that, there is not much to tell. All is well, and we seem to be doing okay in our new job as parents. We're tired, and all that, but that is to be expected for the first months of parenthood, and watching Sophia grow up and be happy and healthy makes it all worthwhile.
